Momentive Performance Materials (Thailand) Limited Momentive Performance Materials’ Thailand organization, Momentive Performance Materials (Thailand) Limited, serves as a hub of South East Asia region of its global silicones business. The Rayong plant was opened in 2004, as the third silicones manufacturing site in Asia Pacific after Ohta plant, Japan (1974) and Shanghai plant, China (2001). Momentive Performance Materials’ Rayong Plant is a silicones finishing facility producing silicones fluids and silicones rubber. The local operation company used to be known as GE Toshiba Silicones, however due to the sale of GE Advanced Materials to Apollo Management, L.P. in December in 2006, the new company started and in Thailand the new legal entity, Momentive Performance Materials (Thailand) Limited was set up on February 23 for its manufacturing, as well as sales & marketing operations.
