Job description
Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible value.
Procurement Process: Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying the need for materials to placing orders and managing delivery.
Technical Specifications: Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and specifications for materials and equipment.
Cost Management: Monitor procurement costs, ensure purchasing decisions align with budget constraints, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Quality Control: Ensure all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Coordinate inspections, tests, and approvals for materials.
Project Support: Support engineering projects by procuring necessary items on time and in accordance with project schedules.
Inventory Management: Maintain records of inventory levels, manage stock, and ensure that materials are available when needed.
Contract Management: Negotiate, draft, and review procurement contracts, ensuring legal compliance and favorable terms for the company.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain procurement documentation, reports, and records. Provide regular updates on procurement activities to project managers and senior management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contracts, and vendor management.
Technical knowledge of materials and equipment related to engineering projects.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Familiarity with inventory management and procurement software tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
